Tarsis was once a majestic and influential seaport, known for its marble paved streets, golden beaches and exalted boardwalks. The Cataclysm has since reduced the "Jewel of the south" to a less precious landlocked ghost town. Draconians are rumored to have a strong presence in Tarsis, with loose control over the city's chief executive, the Thane. The city has many shops, inns and other public buildings, and still attracts many travelers looking for adventure.
Few people remain in Tarsis. The handful that do are gentle folk who are trying to keep the city running smoothly. The population consists mainly of city officials, palace staff, shopkeepers and humble denizens of the city.
